Dear Brethern and friends
“And I will restore you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmer worm, my great army which i sent among you.” Joel 2:25
A locust plague can be devastating as an invading army. Locusts gather in swarms too great to number and fly several feet above the ground, seeming to darken the sun as they pass by. When they land, they devour almost every piece of vegetation, covering and entering everything in their path.
Some of us have been under attack from the enemy and may feel that he has stripped us of everything - our health, finance, relationships etc. We may be at the point where we have resigned ourselves to the fact that we are victims of our circumstances and that is our lot in life. Irrespective of how severe the attacks have been, remember the prophetic words “I will restore you the years…” Now just what he took yesterday, last week or last year but what he has stolen from us over a life time of years.
It is time to rise up in faith and proclaim that we are ‘no more victims’ and claim back everything that is rightfully ours.
May we be challenged this month.

Dear Brethren and friends
He’s got the whole world in His hands
King David praised the Lord because everything in the world belongs to Him, who created it. This is a general acknowledgment of God’s sovereignty over all things. Sovereignty is a key word here, it refers to the exclusive right to have control over an area of governance, people, or oneself; a Sovereign is the supreme lawmaking authority. Who is King in your life? The Bible says, “And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.” Revelation 19:6
God is in control of all things, the Bible also says, “For in him we live, and move, and have our being.” Acts 17:28a. We exist because of His awesome power, there is none like Him. Brethren, let us declare from the highest hill with boldness, “the whole world is in His hand.”
God Bless

Dear Brethren and friends
SERVICE ON THE GREEN 2008
The theme we will use for this year’s Service on the Green is, “God is Love”, focusing of 1 John 3 and 4. The Bible teaches us that there is a source and effect of love. This is illustrated as follows:
The Quality of Love
The Source of Love The Effect of Love
God personifies love
(1 John 4:8, 16) We reflect God’s love in the world (1 John 4:7)
God loved us
(1 John 4:19) We love God; our fear is gone; we keep His commands
(1 John 4:18, 19; 5:3)
God gave His Son for us
(1 John 4:9, 10) We give our substance for others
(1 John 3:17; 4:11)
Christ laid down His life for us (1 John 3:16) We lay down our lives for others (1 John 3:16)
Source: The Believer’s Study Bible
Let us share the Love of God within the many communities in which we live out our lives. Let us be salt and light as the Scripture declares, impacting people’s lives as God leads us. Saints, Christ showed us love in that he laid down his life for us! God bless you.

Dear Brethren and friends
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO WITNESS?
Jesus said, “……and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in
Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
Acts 1:8
In Matt 4:19, He gave some fisherman a rather strange proposition, “…..Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” What could He possibly mean? How can one “catch” men? Jesus wanted these men to become soul winners!
It is the call and duty of every born again believer to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with lost sinners. Romans 10:13-17 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? ……So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Witnessing is not only for missionaries and pastors. Are you saved? Then witnessing is YOUR responsibility too. The world is dying in sin, heading to Hell and in need of God. How can you reach them? By using every means at your disposal to share the blessed Gospel of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Dear Brethren and friends BELIEVERS ARE SALT AND LIGHT
“”You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:13-14 (NIV) The Believer’s Study Bible says, “The power of the kingdom citizen is in his difference from the world, just as salt is different from that into which it is placed. Salt also acts to preserve, and the kingdom citizen must act to preserve the world from corruption and to save it from condemnation (cf. Lev. 2:13). As the “light of the world,” a subject of the kingdom is to witness to his faith through personal example and manifest the light by his testimony and actions. God has put us here to make a difference; a city on a hill cannot be hidden!
